Important Information for Parents to Share with Their Children

Bus Riding is a Privilege - Don't Lose It!
Parents, you should make it very clear that disruptive behavior on the bus will result in certain consequential actions by school staff. Those consequences may include detention, restitution, referral, Saturday Bus Safety Class and the loss of bus riding privileges. Make sure to review the Transportation section of the Rockford Public Schools Discipline Code.

Video Cameras
Video cameras are utilized in district school buses from time to time to monitor student behavior.

Students Not Riding the Bus
Students who do not ride the bus for two weeks will have their stop removed from the route in order to accommodate other students in the most affordable way possible for the school district. If you know that your child will not be using the bus, please notify the Transportation Department at (815) 966-3783.
