The Illinois High School Art Exhibition is the premier regional opportunity for student artists to gain recognition as well as scholarship funds to pursue a career in the arts.
Six Auburn High School Senior Portfolios garnered those students nearly $1.6 million in college scholarship offers. Three of those students will have work on display in Chicago: Giulyana Gamero, Angelina Chou and Makayla Cossia.
Three underclassmen secured scholarships to attend art camps run by participating universities this summer: Jade Stone, Kasandra Aguilar and Lauren Rider.
Four students will have work on display for the Northern Regional Exhibition, representing the best of the best from Auburn in the following five categories:
- Jade Stone - Drawing
- Islam Hamid - Painting
- Lauren Rider - Mixed Media and Sculpture
- Ella Roxworthy - Design
Congratulations, Auburn Knights!
