Montessori Parent Teacher Council Supports the Community

The Parent Teacher Council (PTC) at Maria Montessori school is very active and supportive. They not only support our students' and families' learning and social needs, but they also support the global community. Through our school's Stampede-a-Thon and a Pennies for Peace collection, our PTC wanted to dedicate $3,385.63 of the total amount collected to a community cause. 

When thinking about who to donate money to, our students decided that they would support the Rohingya Refugee Camp in India after they got flooded. They have subsequently been hit very hard by COVID-19 because of their tight living quarters and lack of access to appropriate supplies. Last month we made the donation to Save the Children and dedicated the donation toward the Rohingya Crisis Children's Relief Fund.

Candice Collins

Candice Collins is the principal of Maria Montessori at Marsh which serves students in grades PreK-8. Candice is an active member of the Montessori Parent Teacher Council.
