Summer Camp Focuses on Media Arts at Ellis Elementary School
Rockford Public Schools students in kindergarten through fifth grade had a blast at Camp Promise of America at Ellis Elementary School this summer! Throughout the month of July, students worked on three main types of media arts projects: green screen projects, stop motion videos and robots. Each week students followed a different theme: Around the world, the United States, and finally our community.
The students benefit from the media arts because they actively engage in activities that allow them to express themselves creatively. All of the students have enjoyed the projects and are so excited to show them off.
I love media arts because we get to make whatever we want and then make our own videos! third grade camper
I get to draw things that I like and have a lot of fun! second grade camper
