Jefferson Teacher Named Driver Education Teacher of the Year

Elizabeth Whitham, a driver education teacher at Jefferson High School, was honored with the Illinois High School and College Driver Education Association Early Career Teacher of the Year 2020 award! 

Congratulations to Mrs. Whitham! She has an instrumental role in the RPS 205 driver education program, which was recently recognized by the state as one of the largest and most improved programs, instructing more than 1,100 students each year. 

Mrs. Whitham recently accepted a driver education job in Freeport, but she continues to work in RPS 205 as a behind-the-wheel instructor and coordinator. Congratulations, and way to go, Elizabeth!
