RPS 2.05 Run
The RPS 2.05 Run is Saturday, May 28. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for youth ages 17 and younger. The 2.05-mile race starts and ends at the Rockford City Market location (Market and State streets) at 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit RPS 205 athletics. The RPS 205 school with the most participants will receive $1,000 to be used by the school’s physical education department. This year’s honorary starter is newly appointed RPS 205 Athletic Director Dawn Williamson, who started this month.
Registration details:
- Online registration is open until 11:59 p.m. May 25.
- Register now; the price increases after May 25.
- Participants can register in-person during packet pickup at Fleet Feet, 1653 N. Alpine Road, from 3 to 6 p.m. May 26, or noon to 6 p.m. May 27.
- Children ages 10 and younger are welcome to run or walk for free with a registered adult. (Only paying participants will be timed during the race.) Participants ages 10 and younger will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish line.
The post-race awards are at Prairie Street Brewing Company immediately following the race. Participants who register by May 23 will receive a T-shirt and meal ticket. Participants who register after May 23 are not guaranteed a T-shirt.
RPS 205 Golf Scramble for Sports
The annual golf scramble is Friday, July 22. Registration is $100 per adult or $400 per foursome. The event has a 1 p.m. shotgun start at Aldeen Golf Course. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Registration includes complimentary bag drop, golf cart, swag bag and dinner. All proceeds benefit RPS 205 athletics. Online registration is open until July 18.
