Staff Shortage Affecting May & June Bus Routes

RPS 205 families,

Rockford is affected by the local, state and nationwide worker shortage, and it’s affecting our ability to recruit bus drivers and transportation staff. At this time, we do not have enough bus drivers to support every route that our students need.

We are updating our May and June transportation plans for students who use district transportation. We will cancel eight bus routes each day, starting Monday, May 15.

Free RMTD Bus Rides

All RPS 205 students can ride Rockford Mass Transit District buses to school for free. Students must show their school ID when boarding the bus. Visit the RMTD website to view routes and schedules.
