RPS 205 families & staff,

All RPS 205 schools are closed today, Thursday, Feb. 16, because of the anticipated severe weather. All after-school activities are canceled.

The RPS 205 Administration Building (including the Welcome Center), Sterling Holley and Operations Support Center will be open. Thank you.

RPS 205 families and staff,

We are watching the forecast in anticipation of severe weather on Thursday, Feb. 16.

We will not decide any closures or cancellations until early Thursday morning. We value our students’ safety, and we also value the much needed instruction time and resources we provide to our students and families.

If we keep schools closed, we will notify staff and families by 4:30 a.m. Please plan accordingly in case of an early morning cancellation. Families should ultimately decide what’s best for them.

If schools are closed, all school and school-sponsored activities and athletics will also be canceled. Students and staff will not be expected to connect remotely for virtual instruction.

If schools are closed:

• The RPS 205 Administration Building (including the Welcome Center), Sterling Holley and Operations Support Center will be open.
   
• Central office staff & RBMA should report to work or use accrued time, such as sick, vacation or personal business time.
   
• 12-month school-based employees should report to work or use accrued time, such as sick, vacation or personal business time.
   
• AFSCME (Paraprofessionals, Nutrition Services, Bus drivers): Please follow your contract guidelines for inclement weather days.
   
• EOPA should follow their contract guidelines for inclement weather days.
