Every year our teaching staff wins Golden Apple Awards for excellence in education, presents at national conferences and attends professional development to continue to improve their craft. That’s because we invest in our staff. Teachers have opportunities for leadership, growth and responsibility without leaving the classroom or losing their connection with students.
RPS 205 offers teachers one of the strongest total compensation packages in Illinois. Teachers can earn more through programs and incentives:
Multi-Classroom Leaders earn an additional $8,866 each academic year by working with teachers to set and exceed student achievement goals.
Curriculum Implementation Leaders earn an additional $6,990 each academic year by coordinating with district leadership and teachers to implement curriculum and instructional best practices.
Coaches and club liaisons earn stipends by helping students explore interests outside the classroom. First year head coaches earn an average of $4,600.
