Facility Rentals
Rockford Public Schools encourages the use of school buildings and grounds by the community for educational, recreational, civic, and cultural activities to the extent possible under the law.
What Facilities Can I Rent?
RPS 205 facilities are available for rent to the public year-round, depending upon availability after use by school functions. The district operates two stadiums, five high schools, seven middle schools, and 35 elementary school buildings. Typical areas available for public rental include athletic fields, auditoriums, cafeterias, classrooms, gymnasiums, pools, and stadiums. Hourly fees are charged for using Rockford Public Schools buildings. Custodial services are charged when applicable. The Rockford Board of Education governing policy 8.20 - Community Use of Facilities allows for public use of school facilities.

Step 1: Check Facility Rental Calendar
Check the Facilities Rental Calendar to see if the facility is available.
Step 2: Fill Out Rental Form
Step 3: Submit Rental Form
Submit completed rental request forms to the Facility Rental Office at least 20 working days prior to the event. You may submit forms by the following methods:
Fax
815-489-2607
Attn: Operations Coordinator
5052 28th Ave.
Rockford, IL 61109
Facility rental requests must be received within 20 working days prior to the event. Due to the large volume of requests, we are unable to confirm availability and provide a rental contract on the same day requests are received.
Step 4: Confirmation
If a facility is available on the dates and times needed, a rental contract will be issued; either by email or mailed to the renter for signature. Buildings cannot be used without a signed contract by requester or RPS 205's Director of Operations.
Changes or corrections must be made in writing and include the contract number. Sign and return one copy of the contract to the Building Services Rental Office. Rentals are NULL and VOID if the Building Services Rental Office does not receive a signed copy of the rental contract within 10 days prior to the first rental date.
Keep a copy for your records. It is a good idea to take a copy of the contract to the school on the first rental date.
