International Baccalaureate Program
Conklin Elementary School will be the home of a new RPS 205 special program: International Baccalaureate.
RPS 205 will launch an International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidate School in the 2023-2024 school year at Conklin. The internationally recognized program is for children aged 3-19. RPS 205 will start with an elementary school and has plans to grow and expand.
Students in the IB Primary Years Programme will:
- Take responsibility for their own learning.
- Ask challenging questions, think critically and learn skills across all subject areas.
- Are active in their communities and take their learning beyond the classroom.
- Think globally, and develop respect for all cultures.
- Learn another language. Conklin will include a Spanish component for all students and continue with its Spanish speaking (TBE) classrooms.
