Saturday, May 14, 2025, was a cold day outside, but for the early childhood students 0-5, laughter and warm smiles were everywhere at Blackhawk Park. Fathers and father figures braved the weather to enjoy quality time with our littlest learners.
This special day is filled with fun, hands-on activities designed to foster connection and creativity. From the circus themed games to the fire truck in the parking lot, the day offered countless opportunities for dads to engage, encourage, and simply enjoy the company of their little ones.
Some favorite moments from this year's Play Day included:
Crowd Favorite building kits with hammers and screwdrivers
Crafts paper bag puppets
Sensory stations with water play pick the duck and bubbles
Storytime led by Firefighter Tim Brown
Dad’s Play Day is more than a feel-good event — it’s a statement. It’s a reminder that being present in a child’s life doesn’t require perfection, just participation. It’s also an invitation for dads to model positive parenting, share experiences with other fathers, and maybe even pick up a parenting tip or two.
