The Bilingual Arabic Dual Language team at Rolling Green Elementary organized a joyful and colorful celebration to honor Arabic Language Day, which is celebrated worldwide on December 18. This special day recognizes Arabic as one of the official languages of the United Nations and celebrates its rich history and global importance.
To make the celebration extra special, the Arabic teachers invited the Bilingual Department to join them and celebrate alongside the students. The hallways outside the Arabic classrooms were transformed into a beautiful display showcasing the students’ handwritten Arabic work, highlighting the unique beauty of the language. Each student was proudly represented with their country’s flag, celebrating the diversity of Arabic-speaking cultures from around the world.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Arabic teachers shared delicious sweet treats and traditional drinks with the entire Rolling Green staff, giving everyone a taste of Arab culture. The celebration was a wonderful way to bring the school community together, honor students’ identities, and promote appreciation for the Arabic language and its cultural significance.

نظّم فريق برنامج اللغة العربية ثنائي اللغة في مدرسة رولينغ غرين الابتدائية احتفالًا مبهجًا ومليئًا بالألوان تكريمًا ليوم اللغة العربية، الذي يُحتفل به عالميًا في الثامن عشر من ديسمبر. يسلّط هذا اليوم المميز الضوء على اللغة العربية باعتبارها إحدى اللغات الرسمية للأمم المتحدة، ويحتفي بتاريخها العريق وأهميتها العالمية.
ولإضفاء طابع خاص على الاحتفال، دعا معلمو اللغة العربية قسم التعليم الثنائي للمشاركة في الاحتفال إلى جانب الطلاب. وقد تحولت الممرات خارج فصول اللغة العربية إلى معرض جميل يعرض أعمال الطلاب المكتوبة بخط اليد باللغة العربية، مبرزًا الجمال الفريد لهذه اللغة. كما تم تمثيل كل طالب بفخر من خلال علم بلده، احتفاءً بتنوع الثقافات الناطقة بالعربية من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
ولتعزيز الأجواء الاحتفالية، قدّم معلمو اللغة العربية حلويات لذيذة ومشروبات تقليدية لجميع أفراد طاقم مدرسة رولينغ غرين، مما أتاح للجميع فرصة تذوق الثقافة العربية. وكان هذا الاحتفال وسيلة رائعة لجمع أفراد المجتمع المدرسي معًا، وتكريم هويات الطلاب، وتعزيز التقدير للغة العربية وأهميتها الثقافية.
