This springs Dads Play Day spotlighted the careers of our early childhood fathers, guardians and father figures. This focus was proudly chosen by the dads themselves, reflecting both their creativity and their commitment to be actively involved in their children's education. The First Tuesdays for Fathers group, where guardians, fathers and father figures come together each moth and share experiences, build relationships, and support one another has transformed Dad's Play Day into a collective shared experience.
During this Dads Play Day the father had the opportunity to showcase their careers, share their skills, and give children and other fathers a glimpse into the work they do every day. In attendance were teachers, tow truck drivers, EMT, Amazon driver, and a social media content writer just to name a few.
More than just spotlighting their careers, this event celebrated the value of fatherhood, the importance of male role models in children's lives and the positivity of providing safe spaces to share and engage in learning opportunities. It also highlighted how the bonds that formed during First Tuesdays for Fathers continues to grow into meaningful opportunities for connection, learning and pride.
