For 15 incredible weeks, families in our Early Childhood program, including home visiting and preschool, gathered to learn, grow, laugh, and strengthen the most important relationship in a child’s life—the bond between parent and child. Through the Incredible Years Curriculum, parents were given the tools, encouragement, and supportive community needed to nurture confident, socially and emotionally healthy children.
Each week, parents were provided with practical strategies to use at home, from creating routines to responding to challenging behaviors. What made these experiences powerful were the facilitated conversations led by Lead Parent Educator Coordinator Gina Beaver and Family Educator Patty Helm, the shared experiences, and the sense of connection formed among the families.
Over 15 weeks, we witnessed growth in both children and parents. Caregivers discovered they were not alone. Families showed dedication and commitment to their children’s future by giving their time. The lessons learned will continue far beyond the 15 weeks—in homes filled with more patience, understanding, joy, and connection.
