Our Early Childhood Family Services team is dedicated to supporting children and families from prenatal through the preschool years building strong relationships, empowering parents, and creating positive early experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong success. Throughout the year, our Parent and Family Educators provide home visits, family education, developmental guidance and resources, family support, and meaningful opportunities for connection and community engagement.
From beginning of the school year, families are welcomed through events like Scarecrow Fest where relationships begin and community is built.Throughout the year, we offer evidence-based parent education opportunities including 15 weeks of Incredible Years and 10 weeks of Opening Doors/Abriendo Puertas, helping parents strengthen parenting skills, confidence and build community. Families also engage in Parent Cafe conversations, Parent Advisory Board leadership opportunities, family nights, community events and opportunities specifically designed for fathers that empower parents as their child's first and most important teacher.
We proudly end the year together at Longwood Family Night, celebrating growth, partnership and the incredible journey families have taken throughout the year. Every interaction, home visit, event, and service is centered on nurturing healthy children, confident caregivers and thriving families.
