dads and children

Our First Tuesdays for Fathers program started the year with an exciting milestone—our very first outing together! Fathers, father figures, and their children laced up their bowling shoes and headed to the lanes for an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable memories.

While the bowling was fun, the conversations shared by the fathers made the day even more meaningful. Several fathers shared that this experience was a "first" for them as a father. They reflected on how many of their children's first experiences are often celebrated with mom, making this outing especially significant. It was a chance to create memories that belonged just to them and their children.

As pins fell and high-fives were exchanged, something even more important was happening—relationships were growing. Children beamed with pride as their fathers cheered them on., The fathers had the opportunity to slow down, play, and simply enjoy being present with their children.

Engagement of fathers make a lasting difference in a child's development. In Early Childhood programs like First Tuesdays for Fathers provide opportunities for fathers and father figures to build strong connections, create traditions, and experience the joy of learning and growing alongside their children.

This first outing was more than a trip to the bowling alley—it was the beginning of many "firsts" that will strengthen families and create lifelong memories. We can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for our amazing fathers and their little ones!
