Ryan Bauer collected three hits in three at bats, as Jefferson Varsity J-Hawks defeated Rockford East 20-1 on Thursday. Bauer singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Jefferson Varsity J-Hawks won thanks in part to 11 runs in the fourth inning. Devin Williamson doubled, scoring one run, Gavin Erbe doubled, scoring one run, Julio Soto singled, scoring one run, Chavera induced Sebastian Bracius to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Grady Schmidt drew a walk, scoring one run, Bauer singled, scoring two runs, Soto singled, scoring two runs, and Haven Daily singled, scoring two runs.
Jefferson Varsity J-Hawks jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Erbe singled, scoring two runs, and Soto grounded out, scoring one run.
Jefferson Varsity J-Hawks added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Schmidt drew a walk, scoring one run, Bauer drew a walk, scoring one run, and Williamson doubled, scoring one run.

Avila and Chavera were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Rockford East. Chavera went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Rockford East turned one double play in the game.
