Turner leap over a hurdle at Rockford Christian

Rockford Jefferson High School’s standout hurdler, Janardie Turner, is headed to the IHSA State Track and Field Championships after an impressive performance at the Huntley Sectional. Turner qualified in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-record time of 14.14 seconds, securing his place among the state's elite.


Turner's performance not only earned him a trip to state, but also marked a major milestone in his high school track career. 


His determination and hard work throughout the season have paid off, and the entire Rockford Jefferson community is proud to cheer him on as he represents the J-Hawks on the biggest stage in Illinois high school track.


The state championship meet will take place at Eastern Illinois University, where Turner will compete against the best hurdlers in Illinois.
