Cap, Gown & A Side of Sprinkles was a sweet sendoff for Guilford High School seniors! They celebrated with a donut party, paraded through GHS halls, then walked in cap & gown through nearby elementary and middle schools to inspire the next generation.
It was a big day of signings yesterday at Guilford HS! Six students committed to serve in the National Guard, Air Force, and Army 🇺🇸, while 13 students signed to launch careers in the construction trades. We are so proud of these students taking steps toward their futures!

This community-wide initiative welcomes all newborns in Winnebago County to the community and coordinates seamless support for their families. WINNING START WINNEBAGO will provide free home visiting services and resources to support healthy pregnancies, child development, and family bonding, giving every baby in Winnebago County a WINNING START.
As part of this event, the public is welcome to come and explore the Discover Center Museum for free during the event from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, May 12.

Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara visited Flinn Middle School, where 8th graders interviewed him as part of a 6-week journalism unit. Students explored Rockford issues like crime, pollution & development—then asked the mayor tough questions in a powerful, student-led conversation.
East HS Intro to Engineering Design students created themed cardboard games for Constance Lane & Whitehead elementary students! They met design constraints, modeled in OnShape, and added mechanics inspired by robot builds. 50 students brought 10 games & 6 robots to wow 110 kids!
